That is a damned nice looking gun. I always forget about the French rifles!

Wouldn't say no to one of those though!

how much would you build one for dom? the standard mas36 that is.
i think you might have potential buyers for a fair few, especially with gaz' french indochina games starting up

That is a very good question, my rifles are usually quoted about the £400-450 mark which may seem a lot but especially with this thing there's gonna be a lot of custom parts to make! I have to get a couple out of the shop first though, my gun rack is heaving!

Asking price of £25 plus p&p (will need to package it up to find out how much it'll come to)

Granger currently has first dibs on this.

Though, rather than a BAR-10, I'd use an L96 mechanism and receiver - far more closer looking and wouldn't incur butchering up an unissued example of already-rare wood stock ;-)

I was given one of the old springer M14 rifles a few years ago and as it was a bit knocked about I made a cheap and dirty MAS49 lookalike out of it to use in Vietnam games. By changing it to have a hidden mag and ignoring the obvious differences like the bolt, I think it could pass the 10 metre rule as a cheapo MAS36 ?

Ah feck. You guys have picked a difficult one for me to build :slap:

The folding stock does look cool. We're they used much in ww2? It would be a fun build

Not even remotely, lol. Made by 1939 as the designation CR39 but the war buggered the supply up. Post war very common.

Aluminium folding butt, but think it could be easily 3D printed...

Wouldn't bother 3D print it, getting one laser cutting folding it yourself would be much easier-and more durable.

Had to take a second look at this one - is it an underfolder rather than a (traditional) side folder?
Too bad you can't use the rifle with it collapsed!

Been chatting to Dom at Vintage Airsoft and he reckons he could do me a Mas36 para. Only dilemma I have is I'm not sure whether to go for a Mas36 para or a standard Mas36. What do you guys reckon? Both are pretty cool and could be used for ww2 and post war games.

Regards,

Ralph

Personally I'd go for the standard, as it'd be good for WW2, Indochina and Algeria. I think the para version looks cool but the standard seems a better investment, so to speak.

There was actually a custom MAS 36 made on this forum years back, but from what I can remember the pictures disappeared from the post.
